This one is the interior of Sally's barn again but I really like the feeling that this rooster is running from me. Again this is an oil, 6" X 6", $120.00 and at the 20th Street Gallery, in Sacramento for the next 2 monthes.
Primarily Small Works
My favorite part of this painting is the very understated tree on the right with all the lost and found edges. This is again a 50/50 and is 120.00. It is a 6" X 6" oil. I have 40 more in this them and they are being shown at the 20th Street Gallery in Sacramento.
Ya know how chickens and roosters fly short distances and walk all over the things in the barnyard? Well, this guy is strolling across the track protector of a crawler. The crawler was from in front of the Delicato Winery. Out at the ranch several years ago, one of the chickens layed her eggs nestled in the tracks of a crawler and I thought that would make a wonderful painting...yet the moment passed I missed it. This is again a 6" X 6" oil on masonite board painted around the edges and ia $120.00. The work is at the 20th Street Gallery in Sacramento. See the link in this blog. Have a great day!
I really love this one. The rooster has such attitude. Also I am very happy with the edge treatment on the rooster's tail. If you look closely there is my shadow on the ground and also turning as it hits the barn door. This is also an oil, 6" X 6" and painted around the edges. It is $120.00 and is at the 20th Street Gallery in Sacramento, Ca.
This is another tractor that I discovered outside of the Delicato Winery, I placed it in Sally's barn because the light streaming into the barn gave the tractor a warm glow, as to say a days work well done. this is 6" X 6", oil and is $120.00 and is available at the 20th Street Gallery in Sacramento.
My friend Sally let me do a photo shoot inside her barn. The shadows were so beautiful that these interiors became a huge inspiration for this body of work. All the interior spaces are from Sally's barn. Thank-you Sally!!! I love the shadow patterns from those stacked ladders. This show opens April 8th in Sacramento at the 20th Street Gallery at 911 20th Street. Hope you can come.

I like the gesture of these two. It is a Mom and her baby. These are sheep raised by a woman in Acampo, Ca. This is a 6" X 6", $150.00, unframed and is available at the Knowlton Gallery.
Well, this is the Ward Ranch on Peltier Road out in Acampo, Ca. For some reason I have always liked this painting. The color is pretty quiet for me. I usually use more color.
I am running behind on everything. So far I am getting my assignments into the Academy on time and getting respectable grades, but it a constant juggle and struggle. I am still working on my 50 paintings for the 20th Street Gallery in Sacramento Ca. I am not ready to post any yet. I want a chance to add highlights, fine tune, and sign them before I post any, but I still have 8 or 9 with no paint at all on them yet.
